ODDS

For sports betting, there are 3 types of odds. English odds/fractional odds, American odds and decimal odds.

Fractional odds  - the fraction which is applied to you stake in order to calculate your winning.
Example I :3/1                example II : 1/2

American odds  - They have +ve and ?ve sign.  +ve = the amount you ll win with 100 stake.  ?ve = the amount of stake tak you need to bet to win 100.

Example I : + 300            example II : -200

Decimal odds  - The multiple of your stake which give you a total return.. Total return means (you own stake + winning)

Example I : 4.0               example II : 1.5

Now lets say, the punter bets 100usd,

The winning for example I         = 300usd + own stake 100usd

The winning for example II        =  50usd  + own stake 100usd
